With energy prices now, they probably can't afford to run the oven anymore!

I was reading Alan's post yesterday looking for a set of rolls for building his 1:1 scale Titanic.

Large sheets can be tricky without a generous supply of tea and biscuits, guess that's where you've gone during the first photo.

I think Alan Frost might like these.
They might work for some of the smaller parts on a 1:1 scale Titanic, I look forward to seeing it at next years Sandown!

Thread: Building a miniature universal lathe
27/10/2011 19:28:29
Hi.

I have a book called "Building a Small Lathe" by L C Mason, this describes building a 1 3/4" centre height machine.
It was published in 1977, but I think TEE publishing supply a reprint.

Might be worth checking whether it would help you.

Thread: Fastners in Birmingham

You could try phoning this one to see if they stock what you want, and if collection is available.
I think they are in Walsall which is about 14 miles from Birmingham.

Thread: Resilient Mountings
31/05/2011 21:16:37
Hi.

If you only need the resilient mounting parts, it might be worth checking if there are any electric motor repairers / rewinders or similar concerns in your area and asking them.

Thread: Forward reverse switch diagram
28/05/2011 18:02:13
I do not have a wiring diagram but it might be worth checking out the Kraus & Naimer website, and possibly emailing them for info.

Thread: Nickel Plating
19/04/2011 12:35:38
There is a very good book on this subject, number 11 in the Workshop Pactice Series,
It is called Electroplating (by J Poyner).
This is very much a practical book and the subject is very well covered (please excuse the pun) from principles to chemicals, equipment used and power supplies.

Thread: Countryman's Steam - Chain drilling

I cannot find anything about the Countryman's Steam series in issue 4400, it does not seem to be in the 'next issue' listing for 4401 either.

Where are you finding the drawings and ongoing articles?
