Thread: Z Lock for CMD10 |

If you look at the pictures on Chronos or just Google "Clarke CMD10" you can see a looking lever on the left hand side of the head, if you don't have that lever maybe you install one. Lars-G. |
Thread: Small easy project |

That was very nice Hollowpoint, I was inspired by the article in ME 1998 and made a lighter in the form of an "Absolut Vodka" bottle, straight form easy to model. But I concentrated on the design and did not think about the function, the distance from spark to wick is toooo long so I have to use a match to light the lighter Regards Lars |

I have 2 knives just like that, bought some 40-45 years ago. The cartridge are marked "METALLVERKEN" a Swedish company, and the blades are stamped "MORA" a famous knife maker, (at least in Sweden), and they have been fired, at least they have an indentation in the back. They are 12mm diam and 55mm long + 6,5mm bullet.

Thread: Westbury Sealion |
01/02/2015 12:24:54 |
Hi Jesse, I have a kit of the Sealion I intend to build some day, but in the meantime I found on "The Internet Craftmanship Museum" website a group build of The Seal 15cc engine. Not the same but the same type of crankshaft so maybe you can find a clue on there **LINK** I have not read it myself, but there is some nice pictures. Good Luck Lars |
Thread: Quorn castings |
08/05/2014 11:48:43 |
Wow that many, well within two years I am determing to finish my kit so I can say "I have a working Quorn" But that was not entirely tru as there seems to be an enormous amount of different work that can be done with a Quorn so I suppose it never will be totaly complete, always new accessorys to be made. Hi Mark, Try **LINK** I have just bought a new casting (that I have messed up) from them at very resonable price. I bought a casting kit in 1996 from them and now have the idea that it should be finished on the kits 20 year anneversary in 2016, so we have to see how that works out. Lars-G in Sweden |
Thread: watchmakers lathe plans |
11/02/2014 17:39:32 |
Hi AussiePete Many years ago I was in the same situation thinking of building a small lathe. And at that time I found an article i M.E. Vol.150 No.3704 - Vol. 152 No.3730 (1983-84) - about a building project of: "A 2 5/8 in. Centre Lathe" - "A Design for Home Construction Using Stock Materials" by J. Neave. 2 5/8 in centre height, 1 1/2 in over cross slide, 9 1/2 in between centres 27in overall length, approx. 65 lbs weight. I eventually ended up buying a Sherline lathe instead, much quicker, life is short and project list tooo long Lars |
