Beat me to it, Assy drawing states Item 4 and B for location. Made mine way back in Stainless (cos I had access to some), all metricated, my item 'B' is M3 x 20mm SHCS. Regards Ian. |

Further to my "Clock" comment, just read on another forum, a "Bug" is turning the clocks on Honda Acuras back to 2002. Ahh, the joys of electronics and wifi in cars. Regards Ian. Edited By Circlip on 06/01/2022 12:02:11 |

Pre cook my Potatos, carrots and parsnips for 4mins in pressure cooker on a Saturday (don't ask). Sunday, pre heated dish of oil, baste them all with a silicone brush and leave in oven for last 30mins with Roast Pig/Sheep or cow or whatever together with steamed veg. Yummy, roll on Sunday. Thread: Speed Camera Flashes? |
06/01/2022 11:15:55 |
Cash cow speed camera that zapped me at the bottom of the M606 at 3am one Sunday morning led to a speed awareness course. Checked later, warning sign nicely obscured by excessive foliage. Seems to be one of the best "Earners" in West Yorkshire, last chance leaving Bradford to join M62 westbound. Strangely enough none on same junction leaving M62 to join M606. Hopes of camera not containing film? Many are fitted with a hard drive which can be downloaded via wi-fi. Agree with Paul, if you din't speed you won't get caught. Regards Ian. Only just solved electric windows in car. Last night while driving with a mate, he remarked "Clock on dash seems to be an hour fast" My reply?, Yep, can't be bothered to get owners manual out again or take an advanced computer course on how to change it, and in a couple of months it's going to be right again. Even on a non LCD dash, the plethora of warning lights addles the brain cells. Regards Ian. |
Thread: Is there too much choice? |

Regard it as "Brain exercise" Peter, the annual tiptoe through the minefield of choice. You then have twelve months to regret what you thought was a good deal. Regards Ian. |
Thread: Do you "still" enjoy driving? |

Asked a Greek friend years ago if MOT was in operation in Greece due to number of cars on roads at night without rear lights. His answer was "Well, they're not driving backwards". Spent a fortnight with them in Kallathea, main drag between Athens and Pireaus. Now that was an education observing driving standards (or lack of). Regards Ian. |

Although living in an area noted for its soft water, it is still surprising to see white deposits around a glass of water used as a humidifier on a radiator. Regards Ian. Perhaps you should modify your statement to "Coffee without milk" MG. PC and all that. Edited By Circlip on 30/12/2021 10:42:53 |

Told a mate a loooong time ago driving was a dying art. As it's a God given right for a seventeen year old to be let loose with in many cases, an overpowered steel box, driving enjoyment became questionable many years ago. The backward facing baseball cap brigade made defensive motorcycling a necessity as a bike was a gauntlet to be challenged by the hatchback boy racers. Electronic gizmoes have converted the dashboard into a space invader control panel which requires a degree in electronics to change the time or decipher which illuminated symbol means what. Sadly now made worse as the monthly "Hire a three pointed star or four rings" mob seem to have read page 86 of the duplicated owners manual "How to drive like a total p***k and annoy the minions" is the norm, the problem has to get worse, for even pedestrians, with the introduction of the "Stealth" mobiles. Remember one guy telling me that he was an excellent driver, problem was, other people got in his way. Regards Ian. |

Given that the license fee is basically a screen TAX and that the British B******t company have self determination where the "Fees" are spent, bit like the PPC investigating the Police, I wonder how long it will be before they decide that it will be a SCREEN tax with regards to Laptops etc.? It used to be that you didn't need a license to watch non live transmissions but the new "Authorities" have closed that loophole, so given that with streaming facilities, computers are "CAPABLE" of displaying live TV when is that bombshell going to hit? No doubt some Jackal in the archives is working on that one. Still we should smile sweetly when £5,000,000 is being paid to one presenter. My lathe/miller is CAPABLE of manufacturing armaments, BUT I don't do it. Regards Ian. Nearly forgot, it is possible to watch commercial TV recordings without the ads BUT, there's a fee involved. Don't be conned by "The need for speed" Colin, this is a HOBBY. Leave the high speed cleaving to industry and despite what many think, you don't need a mifford to be a muddle ingineer. Regards Ian. (a nuvver one) |

Got a phone call from local health centre at five fifteen yesterday 17th. "About the blood test," Yes, which one ? " In November " Yes, which one in November, there was two? "Ahh, Doctor needs to talk to you about them and will do a telephone appointment" Yes. "That will be on 7th JANUARY" Went online later (after they were shut) to order repeat two monthly prescription and find I'm locked out AGAIN. Regards Ian. |

Used to have to check for "Pipes and Laminates" in carbon steel strip supplied to make my avatar name as part of the laboratory jobs for all incoming material. Caused by not cropping enough from the end of cast steel billets before rolling. Wonder if the core of the Allumininium is due to chilling when being extruded but subsequent heat treatment to turn it into"T6" should have sorted that. Regards Ian. |

Probably same as sinks etc. 400 series. No such animal as Perfect, 500 series rusts. Depends purely on application which type to choose.
