I bought a Makita grinder to cut steel then bought a pack of discs my problem is the discs grind down faster than the metal can any one recomend a good disc that will last while cutting a car spring length wise. It would maybe take one or two to do the job but better than useing 50 at the moment. Thank you for any help |

Thread: End Mills |

Thank you all for your kind replys, I use a waco major the old solid type, one broke cutting side on and the other cutting down like a drill both my fault as I am new to milling. |

Hope this don't sound daft, but I bought some end mills yes they were made in china and they don't seem to last very long I have broken two with very little use. I would appreciate advice on better mills with out paying an arm and a leg and not made in China. I know its difficult and you get what you pay for but I am sure some one will point me in the right direction. Thank You |

I bought a magnetic base lamp from Poolewood for £38.38, then noticed they could match anybody’s cheaper price, so I pointed out Amazon was £37 and yardles was £31.98, they refunded me £3.20 to match Amazon but when I pointed out Yardles to them again. This was there reply. I am sorry we will cannot match yandles. They have a reputation of selling at cost or less to to make a sale. Their behavior is such that several suppliers are in negotiation to either sever ties or get them to price properly. We all have to make a living.
I am afraid the price we are at is the final price.
I won’t be using them again main reason you can’t phone them they don’t answer. |

Thank you Noei,Baldic, and Clive, for your kind replies. I thought it would be a nice project to do but as I only wanted to make No 3 morse taper I think for the times I would use it Its not worth the trouble. So today I moved the tool post over and and turned the morse taper, and it fits my milling machine nperfect Thanks Again. |

This taper attachment came with my Boxford lathe but had no fittings I was woundering if any one had made the cross slide bar to fit on the cross slide or any of the other fittings the other fittings seem easy to make but the cross slide one not so easy as I may have to remove the cross slide thread to use it. Or a second hand one with out having to buy the full kit Thank |
