Now if that was less than 120mm in height that might just fit in my late 40's brass destroyer hull

This was built to plans in the ME circa 1944 but was never completed so I've taken on the task of pushing it towards the finish line.

Glad I could help, yes the 'manual' is a bit useless and I'm afraid I found SPG difficult to get hold of, no replies to emails or messages left so I accepted I was on my own.

I had a problem where the lower ballrace 'lost' a couple of balls( basically it disintegrated) so I put a set of tapered roller bearings in by machining a mm off each seat and it works fine now.

I found I could source most of the spares I required from Arc Eurotrade, the basic machine is/was the same as their offerings.

I have the identical mill to you, came from same dealer. I have the belt conversion on it. It has a spindle lock near the top of the head, little black knob, push it in and spin the spindle until it drops into the hole.

Don't quite understand what you mean by subscription model? Windows 10 tends to be free and is much more secure through it's regular updates and certainly seems to run fine on my year 2006 computer. Only hardware upgrade I've had to do was the graphics card as a third party app wouldn't run. My 2007 Office runs fine on it and I'll not be going for the Office 360 subscription.

Hmmm, heros and cowards! rather strong language to use where the ability for this virus to kill is obvious and we don't know the reasons for these 'cowards read frightened' people or ones with justifiable reasons for self-isolating. I, for one, would not wish to work for such a company.

As to dispatch and delivery I ordered a psu from Banggood on 20th Feb and it's 'stuck/lost' - (2020-02-28 10:00:00 - Part of shipments were missed the flight, waiting for clearance) and they are making me waiting the full 70 days before taking action. Normally when there's been a problem they have been quick and efficient in rectification but not this time.

Thanks, I did know about the option in the marketplace but it was this particular link I was after as I think it would suit my needs best.

I'm restoring a 34" model Fairey Huntsman and need to build a pulpit rail for the bow. my options are to fabricate out of 3mm stainless steel, silver solder or soft solder if possible and then highly polish or use 3mm brass, solder and then use this chrome paint, which has high opacity and would be quite successful (hopefully ) in giving the required finish.

I remember seeing a comment about some chrome type paint in one of the threads and I remember thinking must file that away for further use. Only problem is the brain cell it was filed in has since retired and refuses to open up and reveal its' contents.

I seem to remember the price was around £20 for a small pot, can anyone point me in the right direction please?
