Araldite original is still one of the best 24hr epoxies you can buy, dont even bother with the fast setting Araldite it is total rubbish in comparison to the 24hr stuff. Another very good slow setting epoxy & should not be over looked, is JB Weld original.

Home&workshop.co.uk has a nice looking MD65 lathe for sale at the moment, just depends on your budget.

Sherline lathes & accessories have really gone up in price in the last 2 years alone, Millhill Supplies price list on Sherline you must add on VAT + postage. I bought my Sherline long bed lathe package & accessories from Millhill in March 2019. Here's what I paid just 2 years ago & the price now, everything has gone up around 50% in that time.

The 210 lathes are 8" x 16", the 210 is reference to the lathes swing over the bed 210mm (4.13" center height) X 16" between centers. Check out the Amadeal AMABL 210 lathe, this is there offering of the 210 lathe made by Weiss.

I now mainly use inserts for aluminum on most materials now, aluminum inserts are also very good on stainless.

The rc car body reamers will cut from 0-14mm.

Paul i also have one of the reamers that you show. The rc car body reamers are slightly different but with the same principle, the car reamers only have a single cutting flute. The rest of the reamer is a full tapered round shape, with only 1 cutting flute these reamers cut very circular holes indeed & pretty sharp for cutting plastics, thin aluminium or brass sheet.

Get yourself an rc car tapered body reamer, used for opening up holes in thin lexan bodies. These also work great on thin sheet metals like aluminum or brass, you can cut any size from around 2mm - 14mm. No steps on these reamers, just a complete taper the length of the reamer. Available from RC Model shops or plenty on Ebay, just search rc car body reamer, these reamers are pretty sharp & give a very nicely finished round hole.

If i need to use cutting fluid on my Sherline lathe i use pot & brush method, i use both paraffin or Castrol ILOCUT 486 neat cutting oil.

These scammers around the world are very clever & ahead of the curve, in the end the scammers number would come up on the phone as UK numbers when they were not. This is one reason why they got through & fooled the usual methods that phone company's offered usually for free to block calls. These numbers would come up as not recognised numbers when you tried to trace the number, they also constantly changed these numbers which is why BT could not keep up with blocking these numbers. I understand their true call technology has a way of not letting these calls through & the calls are diverted & binned somewhere. With True Call it lets your known numbers through straight away to you, numbers out side of this you get a call from BT to say who is calling & do you want the call. Up until now not one scammer has ever got through to even an announced call to us. We had over the years used all the other usual methods that you do to stop unwanted calls with nothing stopping them completely, it was a strange feeling when we first installed these phones where we were so used to the phone ringing constantly through out the day. You would be sitting waiting for the phone to ring where we were so used to the ringing all day off & on.

EN 3B is always going to be more difficult on Sherline, on a Sherline it also depends on the type & method you use for parting. I use the Sherline rear mounted inverted HSS T shape parting tool which is also only around 1mm wide, this parts like a dream on my Sherline. I also sometimes use a 1.5mm carbide insert parting tool mounted on the front side of the lathe for convenience if i have my QR toolpost already mounted. Depending on what material i am parting off with this tool, aluminium, brass or EN1 steel part pretty good, other steels need more care. The rear mounted inverted HSS parting tool wins hands down on a Sherline.

We replaced our phones with BT Premium handsets @ £80 for 3 about 6 months ago due to constant scam calls, we had used all the usual methods that BT offered. But the scammers constantly found ways around these methods & BT said it was very difficult for them to stop these calls. Since we installed the BT premium handsets we have not had 1 single scam call in 6 months, i believe these phones use something called True Call which stops scammers calls coming through to your number, best 80 quid we ever spent for complete peace now re phones constantly ringing.

No riser used, billet just cleared the bed by a hair. Round billet had to be glued quite central otherwise it risked touching the bed.

That's a no brainer, JB Weld original. Incredible what this stuff will do, you can even drill & tap threads in it. It also takes more heat to break a bond than just about any other 2 part adhesive.

Chris i turned and bored an 83 mm diameter x 25 mm thick aluminium billet super glued to a face plate on my Sherline lathe. No problem at all, the hardest part was breaking the glued joint as i used a little to much glue. Its surprising how a small amount of Super glue spreads over a large area, just had to heat to a slightly higher temp to unbond the joint. Smaller items will break the joint with a light tap but the large area i had was practically impossible to break the joint without heating without causing damage to the parts with hammering.

You want Devcon Plastic welder 2 part adhesive, this is an acrylite glue intended for plastics. It is also good on metal, wood, glassfiber etc. Hobby shops or Ebay for around £8 or £9.

I believe access to the split nut adjuster screws on the WM240 lathe is via the rear under side of the cross slide.
