Jason No need for silly remarks. If you google as I said you will find them. That is what the original poster asked for. He makes no mention of this jumper type thing what ever that is as not a plumber.

Plenty on ebay. Just type - fibre tap washers - into the search box. BB |

Since reading about faffing about with a dti in this thread, I have shelved mine and now:- Eyeball to start with then bring up tool post and tool, set against one face then turn 180 and equal out between both sides. Then turn 90 degrees and repeat Accurate enough for what I make. BB |

This probably sums me up.

YES - is the answer to your question as I see it. I recognise it, as I have the same problem. So I end up messing about all day, achieve nothing, finish nothing.but am fortunate in that my wife never complains. I have started three engines, got halfway, got bored, found them beyond my capabality, put them on ebay and lost money. BB |

My comment was not aimed at Gavin. It is a fair question to ask and the right place to ask it, not denying that. Welcome Gavin, please try again. This is exactly where you can ask about Clubs.

Thread: Flywheel help please |

Daft question time as the first time I have seen a casting video. Why is the flywheel wooden bit in two parts as opposed to being in one piece ? A very interesting video and the casting looks superb - a commentary on what and why he was doing would have helped me understand it more. Thanks. BB |
Thread: 1935 Austin Seven Ruby ARQ |

Just noticed this thread - most interesting and doing a good job. We had a local firm in Sherborne called Hamblin's which made fibreglass two seater bodies to go on a Austin 7 chassis. BB

Have a similar item in the wood shop. Plate screws onto top thread , pop on a block of wood and carve away. Not saying that is its original purpose, but tis what I use it for. BB |
Thread: Glass cutting ! |
03/03/2018 11:37:42 |
We had leaded lights replaced with clear panes a while back. The glazing firm had wide rolls Sellotape material they stuck to both sides of the glass. They then removed beads and put a flat blade in to release pane Often the pane broke but the sellotape stopped any glass going anywhere. BB |
Thread: Chucks 3 or 4 jaw for general use. |

I found my 3 jaw chuck not running true so bought a 4 jaw independant, I now happily do my little bits, round or square . Takes a bit of fiddling with the DTI but works for me. Would appreciate the thoughts of the more experienced members .
