A tube becomes a pipe just as surely as when a short plank becomes a long board thinking

Unless its a YouTube then .. . . . . . .

Thread: Useless light bulbs.

I reckon shortening of lamp bulbs is due to all this new-fangled green wind generated lectric, bulbs and lamps are made to work on old fashioned non politically correct made electricals.frown

Hay and Straw.

36 trusses = 1 load

Thought everybody knew that wink

I know that but how big is your truss frown

25/02/2016 22:03:15

All this interesting stuff and two pages back I only asked if anybody knew what stuff was measured by the truss blush

24/02/2016 21:33:33

Seems to have gone quiet on this thread so anybody got the real answer to the measurement unit the Truss.

Thanks to all you welcoming peoples and suggestions.

Budget - very little, 48 square feet or just shy of 4 1/2 metric thingys less bench, shelf unit lathe base and me = pretty small machinery and just where can I buy a Tardis type extension.

As in other pastimes, it is not the size that matters only what one does with it wink

Time is not of the essence, I could tooter aboot for Scots British team at the next Olympics.

Not enough head of steam for t' interwwwebnet to reach there and no enough interest (except this forum of course)

Offspring decided long ago that I am the ghost writer of the Grumpy Old Men series of books, politicians should be shot on principle due to their lack of same and I have been house trained so maybe that is my future ex wife is still around.

1. I have done that for the last 40 years

2. Well lit, floored, central heated, radio/cassette/cd player installed.

3. I'm drooling already.

5. Dont think the shed will make me rich except rich in spirit.

6. Most significant other is the light of me life but does not seem to reciprocate (so it seems to me) but after 41 years I must be doing something right.

Must off to look for number 4

I'm nearly ready to be consigned to the shed permanently as retirement looms.

With that in mind does anyone have ideas on how to prepare for that eventuality?

Some background of myself to set the thoughts flowing, been a white goods, printer, computer engineer most of me days with a couple of years of farm worker and now in me twilight years am in an educational establishment as a techie in the technical department (sheer bliss) and general trouser bottom stapler, shoe gluer, pendrive finder, recycler of anything to be thrown out, weather forecaster and advisor to anyone who asks.

Shed is 8 foot by 6 foot concrete block built with electric, a drill, small wood lathe and a load of hand tools and not much else.

Any advice welcome.

Thread: Hello Everybody! I am Grant.

Hulloo forum members.

I'm George way up in the best bit of Britain, a bit of background :- many many years as a domestic appliance engineer, then farm worker, computer engineer(strictly a screwdriver engineer), mechatronics engineer, and for the last 5 years in a skool as technician/dogsbody based mostly in the tech department(bliss).

The thing is I am heading for retirement so looking to spend a lot of time in the shed so - any ideas on setting myself up in the shed, - 8 feet x 6 feet, concrete floor and minimal heated.

Thanks in anticipation.

George
