Hi Dave I don't have a circuit diagram
And in the first pic did you see the little bit burnt out on the thing with the white stuff on no 9 in from the left

The end terminal is earth
When it went I plugged it in the vfd came on then flicked the switch to start lathe and it flashed and that was it
It worked fine day before but was cold in garage and I think the speed was set quite high so don't know if that's what caused it

I need a ceramic disc capacitor for a vfd the part no.

I can only find them in China
My question is does anybody know if I could get one in the UK
Or recommend an equivalent

Hi all had a look inside vfd today there are 2 little round things like a lolly on 2sticks one looks burnt if I can find out what they are may be able to solder in new ones will try an figure out how to put a picture on

Hi all went to turn lathe on today and vfd flashed and then tripped the electric now it doesn't work it powers up but when flick switch to start lathe it says error 1 which is power protection any ideas is there an internal fuse?

Only trouble with modify it I didn't write down the measurement s of the MK1 shaft and I would need the lathe to able to modify it

I have found the problem it looks like the spindle I have been trying to fit is a MK2 not a MK1
So have a spare MK2 spindle if anyone needs one

I've tried putting the tailstock up against the spindle front and light tapping of rear bearing but does not seem to go on any more as I said the spacer looks as though it's up against the gear behind maybe the gear needs hammering on further?
I can't tighten the nut enough to pull it all up together

Hi all I've changed the spindle today or tried got the old one out ok got the new one in but don't seem to able to get the last bit of slack out the rear bearing looks as though it need to in about another 10mm the spacer behind the bearing appears to be up against the gear
Do I need to draw it in with something seems really tight I don't want to damage anything
Any tips appreciated

If the inverter has a programmable parameter for motor max current, you should input that into the relevant parameter to provide protection against overload..

You may need to input the number of poles/speed of the motor too..

Which inverter have you got in mind?

The Chinese vfds are confusing I bought my pod off ebay I now have the pod working except for the speed control but will keep at it
