Thread: Garage Condensation
06/01/2019 11:07:40

Hi John,

The low consumption of mine is rated at 350 watts and a high of 650 watts. I am happy with the cost but am using it just overnight and will try different settings. Mine is a Toyotomi model TD 280 which is as I understand it is a British Company although equip made in Thailand I think. There is a good review on utube

Bought a dessicant type de humidifier for garage as getting fed up with the dripping off the roof, the corrugated fibre type, after 2 overnight sessions of 8hours each collected just under 8 pints of water, I am impressed with this even the roof panels have resumed their light grey colour instead of black. A quick calculation resulted in approx 35-40 p extra cost on electric per day have not used the heating facility as I want the area to be unheated. Will take a while to work out most economical settings but I am well pleased

Congratulations to all who have given up smoking, however I am not impressed about the comments made about old people can't work out if they are some sort joke or serious comment, I am 74 like my pipe and use a e cig now and then, I managed to get off fags 3 years ago but on the rare event I have a tipple I like a fag, mind you I do agree about the benefit brigade, well some of them anyway

Managed to thin the sides of my coupling rod for Rob Roy so it ended up 1/8" thick instead of 3/16", should have checked the drawing !!! Luckily it was the first one so can do the others correctly and make a replacement 😠

Truloc 268 or 271 seem appropriate

Mick

Thanks Neil, I have 3 thou clearance so hopefully that'll be ok, I do use truloc but will perhaps use the ones you suggest

Mick

Thanks FMES, I suppose if its too close a fit then the loctite would be squeezed out on assembly I'm wondering what the max clearance would be, the insertion of a pin sounds like a good idea

Thanks again

Nice job, liked the music very soothing. I was taught to pop the ends of the material over something round and put a radius on before rolling to give it a start
