Thread: Warco WM18 Power Feed
08/09/2017 10:31:39

Morning.

Spoken to Warco but there not able to offer me any assistance..

As it stands i can modify the existing plate ( Cut the ends off ) and it should work ok, interested if anyone else had the same problem.

Thanks.

07/09/2017 22:42:53

Hello all, could anyone who has fitted one of these offer me any help.
My warco feed unit turned up today, the instructions are not very clear, i will speak to Warco tomorrow but wanted some basic info first.

They have supplied a new end bearing plate ( on the right ) i thought i maybe have to replace the current plate ( one on the left ) with this one as this is the correct size to fit within the grey mounting plate, but there is no thrust bearing for the drive gear to pull up against, have they supplied the wrong plate ?

Thanks for any help.

Thread: Home workshop insurance.
24/08/2017 20:27:59

Thanks all for the reply's

I will try speaking to the people who provide my home insurance first, just not looking forward to the idea of trying to explain to someone what the items are and their value..

How many people have made a list of what they have, and to what detail.

23/08/2017 21:32:16

Hello all.

Can i ask what people do about insurance on their workshops ?

This is something i have been thinking about trying to sort out but not sure where to start.

Thanks in advance.

Thread: Brian's 1" Minnie Traction Engine
29/06/2017 22:34:02

Wonder if he made it so tight as to stop the regulator moving?

Anyhow, thanks Jason.

29/06/2017 16:26:49

Hello all. back again.

Need some help, unsure of what size o ring i use in the regulator chest.

I will order a set from Blackgates but none of the sizes make sense.

The REF B 3/32 would be the obvious guess but this would add up to having a 0.222 OD.

Is this right ?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks chaps for your help as always, but no joy.

Will just get a pierce of MDF to cover it.

22/06/2017 16:33:55

No really model engineering related but..

Does anyone know, in the Birmingham area where i might find a sheet on 6mm oil tempered hard board ?

I have tried just about everyone i can find but no joy, plenty of 3mm but no 6mm.

Its to replace the top of my work bench.

Thanks for any leads.

Thanks all for taking the time to reply, some good suggestions.

Anyhow..thanks again.

Thread: CO2 Mig welding bottle
10/06/2017 22:49:57

Well....

Have just been informed that the bottle i have is a mixed gas, 70/30 nitrogen / co2

apparently this will explain why i have been having so much trouble with my welding...

Been told to stop messing about a get a bottle of ar/co2..

Anyway, still going to take this bottle into the fire people to see if they can fill it with Co2.

Does anyone know why some bottles have a male thread and some a female ?

Cheers

08/06/2017 12:05:06

Hello all.

Thanks for all the replies.

I have phoned a number of local firms but all said they would only deal with their own bottles.

Tried a local fire extinguisher place as suggested and yes.. no problem just bring it in.

I forgot to ask but am guessing this would only be Co2 and not mixed, but I managed fine with this before and for the messing about I do it will be fine.

Thanks again.

07/06/2017 22:23:11

Thanks Nathan.

I will give that a try.

Cheers

Its a bass bottle, no idea if its still in test, will have a call round and see what i can find out but am guessing its a replacement job..
