I use a 3.2kW Webasto night heater in my workshop it uses around 1/4 ltr of diesel per hour at full power, no fumes no water vapour & cosy warm in 15 mins.

As IanT says make sure it is perfectly dry (I place mine on a radiator for half an hour) then use primer I've done hundreds of parts this way and never had a problem with re-appearing rust.

In a word NO, just make sure you identify the earth wire and connect accordingly.

Could you not cut one of your kit O rings to size and superglue the ends as you would with a splicing kit?

Hi all my name is Gren Hunt, I have been lurking in the background of this forum for a few years now so I thought it about time to introduce myself, I am a recently retired Electrical Engineer and Geologist (don't ask) my interest are completing a 3 1/2" large boiler "Tich" from my late father in law, designing and building industrial art and engineering in general, I have a large well equipped workshop consisting of warco 250 lathe, wm14 mill and associated tooling.
