I've noted on many occasion the wheel hub caps on my 3" Burrell tarnish easily and have copper spots appear on them so I'm thinking that over the winter I may make some new ones, so what's the best grade of brass to use to get a good finish and polish ? H |

Hi John I do all my milling on my S7 as I don't have a miller, I use a standard vertical slide also the type with the double swivel. If I have a lot of milling to do I use a collet to hole the cutter but for the quick one off I have been known to hold cutter in the chuck. I only do small parts so for me the biggest draw back is setup time . H |

Thanks for all replies peak4 I am considering a problem with the aerial but have not got the confidence to pull the screen apart , maybe I should add that the laptop worked fine for a number of year all around the house, I have done all the usual stuff updated drivers/firmware,communicated with Intel etc . I have thought of put a meter across the aerial connections of the wifi card but don't know if that would work ! The pic below show the problem laptop on left and the wife's Sony on the right both machines been of a similar spec |

My laptop a Toshiba despite receiving a strong Wifi signal is behaving as if the signal is weak, unless the laptop is inline of sight with the router it in most cases will not connect. I purchased a new Wifi card Intel AC3160 (not one of intel's best I'm told) fitted the new card only to find it was just the same,I do have a USB Wifi adaptor which works fine so anyone got any suggestions ? Thanks H |

They are good if you manage to actually get to talk to a human being. They might be in for a hard time in my area, green marks have appeared all over the pavements, and cabling for Virgin is being laid only a few streets away. I might get more than 8mbits in the near future. Edited By old mart on 10/09/2019 16:41:10 I live in the middle of a large town and in a cul-de-sac many years ago when the fibre cables were being laid they went straight across the bottom of the road without bringing any service into the cul-de-sac so firbre broadband will never happen for me H
