Thread: Win10 |

Clive just for something to do I upgrade a laptop running Vista to win 10 ok it's not the fastest but it runs faultlessly, being aware that the free upgrade had finished I purchased a windows key from SCDkey link It only cost $6 so I was not to concerned if it did not work but it worked out fine, my advice would be to make the jump to win 10 with a clean install. Hi John I just replaced the 'tubes' in mine two 5ft and a 4ft I very pleased with the result better light all around, i'm not that bother about them being cheaper to run so for easy I just went with the type were you just fit the LED lamps into the saame fitting and fit the starter that came with them. Posted by Gray on 13/11/2019 22:38:03: Hi Gray Thanks for your reply and I guees I maybe should have asked the question diffrently, arriving at a website such as the BCLS website and find it's not secure how many stay and look around or just leave ? H Harry, security certificates and providing the 'https' layer is important where you are handling personal information, login details etc as it indicates that the website is protected by Secure Socket Layer/Transport Layer Security. Data sent between you and the website is encrypted so the information is private, and that the website is identified to be who it claims to be. As your site has a membership element and requires login to access that, I suggest appropriate certification is relevant and important to your site and its membership. Gray

Not wishing to highjack MichaelR thread but could I ask how important are HTTPS websites to members ? The reason I ask is I maintain a website for my club Link and I,m asking myself is it work spending yet more of the members money on security certificates. H |

I needed to do a quick repair many years ago on the oil tank on a Ellison starter as I remebr I vee'd the joint preheated both tank and rods. The weld looked really c*ap but the tank did not leak and although I purchased a replacment tank I never fitted it. H |
