I had to alter the profile of the star wheels which drive the feed screw through the gear train as the original design kept catching and stalling. The driving pins also needed some fine tuning (aka bodging). I mounted the head in the mill and, wearing gardening gloves, proceeded to run the head at the lowest speed. It worked after a fashion, but still it kept jamming.
