459 forum posts 28 photos | Can anyone identify the casting shown, it is thought to be railwayana, but I am not sure. It has 4" and the number 92 cast in the "front". the base is round, but has no mounting holes.

![]() 1243 forum posts 202 photos | Hi Chris, Yes I can, it's a cast iron pipe support they were used to support the pipes, about 4 to 5 inches dia used in greenhouse heating units. The pipes were connected to cast iron boiler stoked with coke and the systems ran on gravity circulation. these one in my garden as an ornament, memories of stoking Dads boiler for chrysanthemums Regards John |
