Super 7 Bearings problem

Hello, I'm hoping someone can help me with my Lathe, it's an older type Super 7 with the clutch inside the pulleys. This type has needle roller bearings at either end of the countershaft and mine are knackered. The problem is that I can't find a replacement as Myford only seem to stock bearings for the newer version which uses oilite bushes. So I have three questions: Can anyone point me to a source of replacement bearings, or even tell me the full spec of them so that I can find them from a bearing company? Failing that, is there a known work-around, such as replacing them with some sort of bush as on the newer lathes? Finally - can anyone who has done this job before offer any advice on how to go about it and what any potential pitfalls might be? At present all I have to guide me is the exploded drawing in the manual so any other help would be gratefully received.

I don't know the answer directly other than suggesting you look at the bearing suppliers websites to see what they offer.

I am though of the opinion that oilite bushes will be more rugged for the duty long term and they should be a simple press out/press in replacement. Remember to soak new bushes in oil for 24 hours beforehand to get the pores really well loaded.

Extraction and replacement is probably best done quietly and steadily with bolts to draw the old bearing shells out and then pull in the new bushes. You may need to make some stepped fittings beforehand to help with that
