Why they have tasked me is a mystery as I know absolutely nothing about locomotives! I’m therefore hoping someone on the forum can help. I’ll list the information she gave me:- LMS London north eastern railway Bassect locomotive hybrid pre war model. I;m sure you'll need more information so if you can tell me what you would need and how to obtain it I would be very gratefull.

![]() 517 forum posts 57 photos | It looks like a Bassett-Lowke LNER 2-6-0 that someone has repainted and stuck a different chimney on: Can't help with a value but the fact that it may not be completely original and has been repainted will lower the value. John |

2 forum posts 5 photos | That sounds just right, her husbands friend "finished it off" and used a different chimney saying to call it a hybrid. It gives me a starting point to try and value it. Thank you very much for your help
