I may have accidently added some degreasing oil in with the coolant, I use the type you mix with water and have noticed that things are starting to get rust on them overnight and between the milling bed and the bottom of the vice, is there a time limit on how long the coolant will last, or is because I've got some degreasing oil in it there is only a small amount that's got in but could that be enough or is it just the coolant that's come to the end of it's working life, thanks in advance chaps.

I've noticed light rust marking under the milling vice and also under the lathe top slide. Quite alarming at first sight but it rubs off ok,leaving a stain. I dont think it's anything to do with the degreaser. Just up the oil content a bit if you're concerned.Doubt whether it'll stop the marking though..John
