Brunell Tandem Compound Engine

Hello, I have been offered a set of castings (completely unstarted) for the Brunell Tandem Compound engine, has any member on here built this model.and was it worth the effort , any major problems and will it run on air OK.?

Yes. I documented the build here: **LINK**

You will need a compressor with a high CFM to run it.

Hello Jo , that's not the Tandem Compound I have been offered, the one I am inquiring about the cylinders are inline ? David

Jo's is the double version of yours with two pairs of tandem cylinders side by side ( 4 cylinders total). The two models share a lot of the same parts so Jo's build and comments apply to your engine

Yours is at the top of this page hers just below.

Here is one half of Jo's which is basically what your engine will look like

Hello David just thought I would let you know if you decide to take on the project and there are any issues with our castings just get in touch and I will replace any castings that do not come up to scratch are you ok for drawings ?
