Hi all,

I would be grateful of opinions here. I have been looking for a Myford vertical slide for some time for my ML7. Have reluctantly even tried EBay but with no luck. However I see that Chronos are offering one for £105 but of course it's from India. Has any one bought one of these? Are they any good? I am tempted by the thought of a new one for the price of a tatty one off EBay. Obviously the quality will not be the same but for hobby use? What do you think?

thanks in anticipation

Malc.

Hi Malc

I bought a verticla slide from Chronos a few months back and have bee very pleased with it. I had to adapt it for my Sieg lathe, There are some photos in one of my albums.

Regards

Bob..

Hi Bob,

Thanks for the reply, it has given me more confidence to buy the slide. My first lathe was a Chinese model and I was quite sceptical when I first bought it, but it turned out to be OK. Very impressed with your pictures and quality of your projects. I guess I'll have to push the boat out and spend some money- after first consulting my financial controller (S.W.M.B.O) of course! Thanks again.

Malc.
