Can anyone tell me if the notes for building this engine have appeared in Model Engineer ". I have drawings dated 1950 but it does not appear in that year ? I would be grateful if someone can identify the year (s ) this appeared .
Many thanks . Harry.

Hi Harry.

I think Speedy featured in English Mechanics.

But if you go to Reeves, they sell the notes (in what looks like book form - although I guess it could just be a photocopied set??) for about £8.....which seems a good deal:

Hope that helps.

Speedy did indeed appear in English Mechanics (1950). TEE Publishing sell the booklet (£7-95). If you decide to build one, don't use the oiginal LBSC valve gear which gives poor valve events. Don Ashton has a much improved version.
