Hi Folks
About 12 months ago, my computer went caput, and i had to get my son to install a new motherboard. Having done this he installed Windows 7. This is when my problems started. I found that i could not post on this site. I would type in a post, click on "add post" and it would just vanish !
I sent an email to Diane to ask what i was doing wrong, and the answer was that the site could not deal with a 64 bit system ( Whatever that is ?). Anyway i have just found out about Firefox and i can now post on here again. So if anyone else out there is as dozy as me, and cannot post using Windows7, you now know why

Cheers Derek

I am using 64 bit Windows 7 and IE9 (Also 64 Bit) with no problem.

Diane is Half right.

You have to set the page/site to "Compatabilty Mode" to post -- Its the icon at the top that looks like a torn sheet of paper. (Click it - It will go blue)

Then post away.

Funny, I did a quick post on this site this afternoon from work using Windows 7 and IE version something or other. I didn't click on any 'Compatability Mode' stuff. It worked fine?

I have only seen the issue with the 64 bit version of Win 7 and a 64 bit version of IE ... The 32 bit versions seem to be OK.

Hi Derek,
First test

This is just a test to see if I can post using internet explorer 9 on my windows 7 64 bit system. I have been posting on this forum using this system with Firefox with no problems.

Second test

The first test failed. This test is now with compatability mode turned on.

Les.
