Readers of the September issue of ME No.4411 who are IC engine enthusiasts, might like to view the 5cc ED racer based engine machining steps from start to finish.
If you follow the attached link http://picasaweb.google.com/Tug423/RW29DieselEngine#.
all the machining stages are clearly photographed and would complement the current serialised engine build.
As a keen enthusiast of the particular ED Racer engine which the 5cc variant is based I am inspired to have a go at making the 5cc engine and have long admired the work of Ramon Wilson.

4 forum posts | Thanks Jason,
I missed the earlier references to this engine. I can see what a benefit these forums are now that I have overcome the initial reluctance to join them.

![]() 1655 forum posts 617 photos | Hi John, somehow I've missed your post. My apologies.
Firstly welcome to the forum, if you find it as friendly and as helpful as I have you will soon realise it is a very useful asset to your modelmaking.
It's good to hear of another ED Racer (original) enthusiast but I'm sure there are many of us still around
![]() If you do decide to make a 5cc version I trust it goes well and it performs as well as the originals and of course, if you (or anyone else with the same intention) have any queries about it's manufacture, I will be be more than glad to help either directly on here or via PM.
Good luck with it and keep us informed of your progress
Regards - Ramon
