I suppose this a case of a missing person. For many months I have been following a Website construction series of a Japanese C53 4-62 Steam Locomotive. Regular as clockwork on the 20th of every month the latest update would be uploaded. Something special created, with simply yet specific descripion in english. However late last year, maybe Oct, the gentleman (never knew his name) advised by way of his website that he & his family were moving north and would be off line for a few months but would be back on line when settled in.The catastrophic Tsunami which inundated northern Japan could have claimed one fine model model engineer. I just hope someone out there has knowledge of his wellbeing and would advise if he is ok. The website address is the only link I have. http://mokei-jouki-hp.web.infoseek.co.jp/e-Wiltop.htm |

Many thanks for the link to Mr Watenabe's home page and the news that he and his family are safe and well. Over the years its been such a pleasure to observe how this fine model engineer tackles the most difficult machining operations with inovative setups whilst using such modest machinery shows the calibre of the man and his talents. I wish him all the best for the future and I for one will be watching for his updates every month, its a great series I am sure you will agree. Once again Keith thank you so much for your posting, much appreciated. |
