3 forum posts | Hi to all, i am very new to this forum and am honestly NO model engineer, although, am an experienced model ship builder.
i was steered here from a sister forum Model Boats by Colin Bishop because of a question i put to him.
I shall be most appreciative if any one can answer it on here, as it would help me enormously.
many thanks in advance to anyone who may be able to help.
neit,
"wondering if you can help me...a very small chance I probably think, but here goes.
I bought a magazine on ebay a couple of weeks ago..Model Ships and power boatsn february 1953 ( yes 1953) because it had a picture of a nice model lifeboat on the cover.
Inside it says that the cover picture is of a lifeboat made by a mr George h green of bedford it was described in detail in a recent issue of our companion journal The model engineer.
Is there any way that I could trace that ME mag that it was in and get a copy of the write up.
could you be of any help. cheers, neil." |

344 forum posts 17 photos | Searching for George Green using the online index http://www.itech.net.au/modelengineer/ found Vol 108 Issue 2696 for 1953 has an article entitled "A model lifeboat" by George Green. Many libraries carry back issues of Model Engineer, alternatively eBay has a constant supply. |
