Sneak preview of my latest project

![]() 4318 forum posts 291 photos 1 articles | This engine is based on a wonderful engraving I found on the interweb a few years ago. I have no idea of where I found it or what the engine is called, so any ideas welcome. It is based on an A-frame but the other end of the shaft is supported by a brick wall. I have about 400 tiny bricks ready and waiting... Neil The frame is fabricated from 3mm steel. The cylinder (just over 2" high) is fabricated from brass, which is why I could only afford steel fro the frame: The reduced journals (providing positive positioning) are dead to scale: This approach to a low friction governor valve may be of interest. The o-rings are 3/16" by 1/16" bore: The water pump has a 1/8" ram and uses an o-ring gland. The valves will be in a separate chamber: Edited By Stub Mandrel on 25/10/2010 20:19:21 |
