![]() 19 forum posts 1 photos | Hi can anyone help with a showmans engine that I am refurbishing.
The engine was built in Wimbledon by Erine J Bauchen in 1953 and the nameplate that I have is BRENNA.
The engine is of duplex construction having two 1 1/2"dia cylinders and the valve gear is inclined down towards the crank. The boiler is also fitted with superheater tubes. It is a three shaft engine fitted with a belly tank.
Wheel size= rear 12" front = 8"
Total length of 43"
I think it could be a 2 or 3" scale Fowler or possibly a Foster showmans.
I have also been told that it was named Lizzie before being lade up in 1997.
Any info would be much appreciated (pictures, drawings etc).
Cheers Paul. |

12" rears would make it 2" not 3"
You could also ask on the miniatures section of Traction Talk

I do agree thak it is a 2" scale,
This engine was well used on the rally field in the 60/70/and80s so i have been told by the previous owner, just hope someone has seen it and maybe has a photo or two.
