Dear friend Neville contacted me some time ago due to my great interest in everything about these dear 517 tank engines. I had in fact collected from several model railway friends some wonderful drawings of these engines through the years, now counting almost 57 varieties!!! I started on the early version mostly as I could then paint a Great Western engine blue green as favoured by Wolverhampton. They even did their drawings round the other way front facing right
to be different, and this continued down to the guys on the shop floor who faced by having to cut out two parts of a steel tray to miss the steam brake brackets put it the other way up, and drilled the holes in a different place.
I have just filled in my miss drilled holes in the rear steps plate, mig welders are wonderful things and especially when you are doing 2 engines = 4 plates = 12 holes!!!

Must get back to work as the second try at the wheel pattern has just come off the cnc router.

Regards

David Scott.
