8 forum posts	In the bid to build a working Diesel-Electric locomotive I am looking for copies, or section photocopies, of ‘Model Railways’ magazine from June 1974 through to the end of the series by Robert Symes-Schutzmann & Stewart Hine on building a working Gauge 1 Type 4 Diesel Electric locomotive. >> If anyone can point me in the right direction to obtain the magazines or has built a working Diesel-Electric I would be most grateful.>>

The 16mm in your garden special from myhobbystore has an article by me on making a diesel electric locomotive in 16mm scale. I used a four stroke engine with a motor as generator. regards david

8 forum posts	Hi. Will get the 'Garden Special'. Thank you for mentioning it. Diesel Hydraulic was earlier. Have the July 1974 isssue of Model Railways with the diesel electric in it (part 2). Have had an email from a gentleman with the name of a company that deals with second hand railway modelling titles so have emailed them to see if they have the issues in stock. Great site.
