I just had a quick question, I need to make some 6 ba screws and I was wondering if there was any tips on how to make the thread reach the head of the screw.  Is there such a thing as a die without a taper? or do the threads have to be cut in a lathe?
Thanks guys
Dave

Hi

Most dies only have a taper on one side so they can be reversed to get pretty close to the screw head.

Regards
