![]() 73 forum posts 632 photos 64 articles | Hi,
I have posted the first 3 parts of the Martin Evans article about the GWR Tank Engine Metro.
These have been scanned and OCR'ed from PDF's.
As a result the photo's have been removed, and only the text included.
The drawings required for this project were included in recent issues of Model Engineer, and as such are available as back issues. Alternatively the full size drawings are also available from the website.
My intention is to post further articles during the following weeks, so please check back regularly.

![]() 12 forum posts 4 photos | Hi Richmond,
Thanks a lot for uploading the articles. They will help me and others to build the Metro.A pitty that the pictures are not there. They could be very convinient in places where the drawings don't give much detail. Would anyone out there, who has the real thing or owns pictures of it, put some pictures in an album here?
Thanks,
|

What issues were the Metro series in? I have copies back to the sixties, though with some gaps when I was unable to get them.
I need to dig in the pile of boxes for some other reference books, so I'll try for the ME's too.

Yes the article is there, the "Latest Posts" doesnt show it, but it is there.
Go to "Model Making", select the "Loco section", then go to page 2...and you will find it.
Alternatively seach for "Metro - Part 7"...... it will come up.
