.Hi - Can anyone recommend a simple to use (foc) Flow chart software package. The sort of thing I am looking for is a means of selecting various shapes indicating Data Input, Decision making etc with connecting straight lines and the option to insert text within the selected shapes - all quite basic stuff. I think it may be something which is already available in the latest versions of MS Office but I am currently using MS 2007 which does not have it. I have looked at SmartDraw but I don't think it is available as a freebie. Any suggestions would be most appreciated.

A long time ago, I used one called Dia. It was not dire. They used to do one with only half the features. I think it was called radius.

Do you have a copy of LibreOffice on your computer? If so,then this may be useful:

Or at least kick you off in the right direction. Not tried it myself. Last time I drew a flowchart, it was all done by hand for a Computer Studies "O" level examwhen I was 35, 1982!

P.S. Got a grade A!

Or open office draw. Good package for all sorts of things but remember to save your work frequently as it can be a bit fragile.

I have used 'LucidChart' and found it very good.

I had good results with draw.io

Seemed quite similar to the Microsoft Flowcharting programme that I used at work before I retired
