Amazon delivery scam?

| 31 forum posts | Anyone had this scam? I ordered some indexable milling cutters from Amazon, they came from China, the price included postage (free), we got a text message asking for payment for import duties! I decided to ignor it as I'm not providing payment details via a mobile phone number. Surprise surprise the cutters arrived anyway. Just thought I'd post this to alert others, companies involved were Amazon, CNE and Hermes, not saying they were the scammers, but someone working for them may be. Buyer beware! Regards David |

 7881 forum posts 397 photos | I had a thing for a while when I ordered anything from eBay I would get bogus texts saying my parcel was awaiting delivery and needed payment blah blah blah just clik on this dodgy link etc. Then it stopped. So yes, could be a rogue employee/gig economy serf sharing details. |
