Just received this email via our Society website

Hopefully no-one is going to think this is real but I thought it worth mentioning. Unfortunately, there are always nasty people trying to profit from the misery of others. BTW, before anyone says I shouldn't give the bitcoin/ethereum wallet numbers - the numbers have been changed, so anyone silly enough to use them will probably still lose their money but it certainly won't benefit these thieves.

I keep getting 8 second video clips from a Russian email address but I just blacklist and delete them.

Woeful that scammers capitalise on such misery. But anyone who sends money to such out of-the-blue emails these days pretty much deserves to lose their money. Yet worldwide, online scammers take many billions, yes billions, of dollars a year. Hard to understand.
