![]() 1129 forum posts 1 photos | Hi all. We have just bought a load of almost new tools by VERITAS of Canada, all in lovely condition. They include a VARIJIG adjustable system for routers etc. There is one small very simple item missing which is called an anti-tilt block I was wondering if anyone has one of these could I please have the dimensions so I can knock one up? Cheers, Martin |

![]() 53 forum posts 16 photos | Hi Martin, I don't have this particular jig, but I think the block will be the same thickness as the frame, other dimensions not critical. I guess it is screwed to router base to stop router tipping over, when balancing on the narrow frame. I just stick a suitable block of wood on the base with double sided tape, when using home made jigs. Instructions for Varijig are here ;- Mark. |

![]() 1129 forum posts 1 photos | Hi Mark, Thanks for getting back to me. I guess the missing part is on a router somewhere. I will make up a small alloy block with a suitable thread and put that with the jig. I have been looking at the Veritas tenon and dovetail saws that we got and they really are top notch quality, I had forgotten how good Veritas tools are, although some are a bit on the gimmicky side. Cheers, Martin |

Hi again, Trend Router Bases are tapped M6, so you only need a clearance hole and counterbore. Plastic/Nylon/Wood would also be ok to use. The Trend one is probably plastic, so it won't mark the job. For Reference the piece in this picture is 70mm long x 20mm wide. The Guide Bushes are flush with the router base, so don't add anything to the thickness of the jig. Regards, Mark |
