I have a Proxxon PD 250/E mini lathe that has been running for about 25 hours. No hard jobs, just turning small brass items every now and then. Yesterday it started to lose power and making strange sounds. It hardly won't run at the lower speeds. I recorded this video of the issue: https://vimeo.com/674175551

The metal gears are lubricated and the belts are properly adjusted, so I don't think they are the cause.

Does anyone have a suggestion what may cause this?

I don't know the detail of how its put together, but it looks / sounds very much like the pulley/sprocket/whatever is slipping on the motor shaft.

(Looks like part #46 on page 16 of the manual - try tightening #45)

Ah, I can't believe I didn't think of that! Problem solved, thanks a lot!
