411 forum posts 22 photos | So they say but my 5 inch Crampton 'Le Continent' runs perfectly well without one. B Terry Aspin [Chuck] never used one as far as I know and says they are not worth it in his book ' The Model Locomotive from Scratch'. |

I'm not intending to try to win races with it and two videos on Youtube show engines running quite fast and with the safety valves blowing off all the time. I remember reading somewhere that model superheaters are merely steam dryers! Brian |
