A friend has recently bought a Warco DM180 DRO lathe, I /we are told Grizzly have a much better manual than that which comes with the Warco lathe. Does any forum member know if Grizzly has an equivalent and what is its identification name/number please. John

I don't know about Grizzly, but the Optimum D180 manual is quite good and freely available for download from a number of sources.

John,

The closest manual that I can find on the Grizzly site is for the Grizzly 0768 . Purely judging from the photos on Grizzly's and Warco's sites, it appears to be the 'best fit', although Warco turns up no result if you search for DM180; only WM180. However the Grizzly manual should give you a starting point.

Most of the manual is pretty generic stuff and includes references to a milling attachment and of course everything is inchified.

Grizzly 0768 is a larger lathe than WM180.......the manual lists 8 1/4 inches by 15 3/4 inches between cntres and WM180 is a 7x12 machine. Also see two comtrol knobs on headstock casing....

Can't disagree with what you say, Bob, but without knowing which lathe the OP's friend has, it's all a matter of conjecture. As I said, Warco don't do a DM180, so I just sought the nearest Grizzly equivalent - which looks similar to the Warco WM180, just a bit bigger. Until we get more feedback, all we can do is guess what information is required.

Hi, I guess John's friend has a WM180 DRO quite easy to think it is DM instead of WM, but as Bob has said, the one he linked to seems to be the nearest equivalent.

Regards Nick.
