I have taken on the building of an 80% completed shaper of a deceased friend.Unfortunatley he has made it from three different sorces and left no notes. The box containing the scotch crank has no room for the gearing inside and I think because he left a long shaft on the outside that he intended to fit pulleys.ai will fit a 100 tooth gear connected to a 20 tooth and on this shaft will be polley v belt pulleys 5" 3.5" 1.5" to the same on the 1420rpm motor this will give speeds of 85 284 946 Are these speeds acceptable or are they too fast.He has let brass into the steel box for the sliding holder to bare on is this acceptable. The shaper is roughly the size of the gingery shaper.
