2 forum posts 17 photos | Hello and greetings from France, via Stockport Model Engineers where my late father Oliver Simpson ran his LBSC 3.5 inch DORIS. The loco ran regularly until about 15 years ago when boiler problems led to a new one being built, but the loco was never successfully re-assembled, and as father passed away in November 2020 it now falls to me to continue the work. I hope to pick the brains of those familiar with LBSC locos.* I am familiar with every sort of IC 4-stroke cam intricacy, but am now deep into Walschaerts, and adrift.

![]() 1078 forum posts | It's not as bad as it looks, honestly, once you have stared at a diagram for a while it starts to dawn on you... the art of getting all the geometry right is a bit harder but plenty of people have managed! Welcome and the very best of luck. |

![]() 2312 forum posts 112 photos | Hello Roderick and welcome. I'm afraid that I cannot help with Doris but I'm sure that there are many people on here who would be able to help. It would be good to get it back together and working once again. Perhaps a photo or two would help, 'though it's not the easiest thing to do on here. Brian |
