Hi

Does anyone know what the Sieg SX3 drawbar thread is? I have just measured it with only a rule to count the threads and it seems to be 11mm x 1.25 pitch or 0.431 inch x 20tpi which I assume would be 7/16x20.
Does anyone know what it actually is?

Thanks

Think it depends on what collet it is, if it's R8 then it is indeed 7/16

According to the ARC website there are 3 depending on the taper.

"Drawbars for the SIEG SX3 mill.

Choice of M12 or 3/8” Whit thread for MT3 spindles or 7/16" UNF thread for R8 spindles."

If, somewhat astonishngly you don't have a vernier caliper or a micrometer you may be able to use the mill table and handwheel graduatons to improvise a measuring system, even make a vernier.

Standard for R8 is 7/16 -20 as already mentioned, but I also have one or two R8 tools with metric threads, so I try to check before buying.
