20 forum posts 47 photos | The manual shows two snap rings that rest against shim washers that rest against the inner bearing faces. Based on that it seems that the rear bearing must be a sliding fit on the spindle so it can be removed before tapping the spindle out towards the tailstock. Is that a valid assessment? |

![]() 244 forum posts 105 photos | The rear bearing is a sliding fit on the shaft so that the end play can be adjusted with the two nuts. There is no need to remove the rear bearing before taping/pulling the spindle out. Why do you feel that you need to replace the bearings? |
