I have today received issue 298, delivered by my trusty newsagent who still delivers to the outlying villages. There seems to be a problem with the content!

Pages 9 -13 cutting Corners on a Bandsaw all perfectly fine

Page 14 Readers Tips perfectly fine

Pages 16-17 SDS Hammer drill fine

Page 18 (only) Grit blasting cabinet finishers mid sentence - jumps straight to

Page 27?? Powering a Mars Rover

Pages 28-32 Making a cylinder from the solid - perfectly fine

Pages 32-33 Scribe a line fine

Page 27 (Again) - Mars Rover !!!!!

Pages 28-32 (Again) Making a cylinder from the solid

Page 33 -35 page numbers changed but Scribe a line AGAIN with one extra page (35) adding Angel Eyes!!!

Page 36 A Temporary coupling fine

Page 37-40 A work Holding Sub-Table fine

Page 42 (only) Alignment Device for the Compact 5 finishes mid sentence...

Page 35 Those Angel Eyes again!!

Page 36 Again!! Temporary Coupling

Page 37-40 That b...dy sub table again

Page 42 (only)Again Alignment device for the Compact 5 finishes mid-sentence!!

Pages 51-54 A 5" Rotary Table, not sure if the article is to commence with Part 5, Pressure Pad or if this is missing introductory comment??????

Pages 56-63 Gear Hobbing - fine?

Not surprisingly the contents page is similarly confusing. I do enjoy re-reading articles in MEW but rarely have I had such choice and all in the same issue!! Is it just my copy or have other readers had the same experience?

Hi Robert, best you request a replacement copy, my copy is fine. The Rotary Table is at Part 3.

Regards Nick.

Better hope your newsagent doesn’t have a batch like that, my copy is correct all the way through.

Hi Robert,

Multiple pages are printed on one big sheet of paper, cut out and collated.

It seems your issue may accidentally have picked up two of the same sheet, this seems to be rare now the presses are computerised but can still happen.

If you drop an email to [email protected] they should send you a replacement.

I suggest just explaining that multiple pages were repeated and others missing rather than giving the full details.

I hope that helps,

Neil
