127 forum posts 19 photos | I have read - some time ago - an article in MEW, or was it ME! Thearticle was about Using O rings, and designing for their use. I have used the on-line search engines, and looked at the MEW published indexes, and I can't find it! Would anyone know where it was published? Thanks in advance. Alan

2292 forum posts 159 photos | There was an article in issue 156 (Autumn 2009) of MEW on page 15 about using "O" rings. I don't know if that is the one you are looking for. Les. |

![]() 910 forum posts 197 photos | I used the Model Engineeer Handbook for the O rings on my flash steamer and found Tubal Cain sizes work well. As now on with a large flash steamer have found on the web plenty of O ring dimension articles to help my project. On the model doing a water pressure test it was about four thousand pounds on my generator a pump 0.25" silicone O ring extruded maybe not designed for that pressure or too mch pump piston clearance. You try to learn through cock ups not to do it again. |
