size of pipes

204 forum posts | I have the drawings and the book on building Maisie, but the only reference I can find on the size (diameter) of the tubing was for the tube from the tender handpump. My query is I have used 3 m.m. outside diameter tubing from the axle driven pump and to the clack in the boiler. I wondered if this is OK? |

869 forum posts | It will help the axle-pump to displace the water more easily if you could go to at least 5/32"/4mm od ? without spoiling the look of the engine. You could always rig up the hand pump with a similar length of pipe ( of different diameters) to feel the difference it makes. |

204 forum posts | Many thanks for the reply, good suggestion. I suppose it will still do the job though. I am hoping to pipe an injector too! |
