Power feed problem

Hello,

I'm hoping that one of the members might have some experience with the above model lathe.

The power feed function to carriage and crosslide stopped working, although the feed shaft continued to rotate.

I later found the (worn) key from the feed shaft in the chip tray, I aligned the keys ways and put the key back in and turned it over by hand and all seems well.

Any advice or drawing on how this key should be retained would be much appreciated. I’m really hoping to avoid a carriage / apron strip down

Thanks

Peter

Peter, its a long, long time since I had mine apart but if you PM me with your email I do have a pdf & jpg copy of the manual which may be some help. Its just sectioned diagrams/drawings of the machine sections with all the part numbers on -- no explanations but it will assist in what is where.

John
