![]() 20 forum posts | Hi. I've been doing a bit of research on model engineering for an exhibition I am planning. Everybody on the ME forum has been so helpful and knowledgable I wonder if you might be able to help me again? I'm looking for some information on Sue O'Connor and her shop Steam Age. I've read that it was the Cartier of the model engineering world and that she may have been related to Bassett-Lowke some how. I hear that the shop closed some time ago but is she still alive? Has anybody written about her? Has her writing ever graced the hollowed pages of ME? best Jamie |

2147 forum posts 222 photos | There was a discussion about 'Steam Age' on the Mamod site Jamie Funnily enough - I'm sure I can recall a similar type of shop in Chiswick (along King Street somewhere) back in the late 80's (I used to work up there) and I'm sure I never ventured up into Kensington High Street. My memory may be playing tricks again of course... Regards, IanT |
