Good Afternoon

As the thread title, I've not machined for many years. I recently acquired a Praezimat DLZ 180x450 lathe from a good friend. It's been converted with a VFD, for which I hope to make a pendant remote to save me reaching over the machine for the stop button!!

I've also resurrected my old Elliot Unimat, and am using it in vertical format as a small mill/drill. It still works even after years lying in the cellar of my old house!

Where are you located?

If there is a Model Engineering Club within areasonable distance, may I sugfgest joining, to meet fellow M E s face to face?

Lots of help and advice available on here, on a wide variety of subjects.

Enjoy

Thanks both for your warm welcome. We have a little motley of machinists in the neighbouhood (if that's the correct collective)! So will probably rely on them for input at the moment.

Thanks for the pointer regarding ME Clubs - we're in W Yorks, near Wakefield - I'm sure there will be one hereabouts.
