Hi i'm looking for a lathe to purchase and i've found the classified section. There are some interesting lathes i'd like to know where in the UK they are before pursuing further.

As a non registered visitor contact details are hidden on the classifieds (i can understand this)

The little message said i had to sign up to get the contact details.

well now i've signed up... and i now get a different message saying i must make a 'small' number of posts before seeing the contact details...
really? why didnt you say that before?

if "small number" is one. then great here it is. if it isnt, i'll have to make some pointless replies on some posts. just to see a location (i hope) of the lathes i'm interested in. it's a little frustrating.

does anyone know the number that is small?

Hi Julian, 2 or 3 posts should do it.

Tell us about yourself, don't just use us as a list of free ads.

The need to make a few posts is an anti-bot precaution, basically asking new members to show they're human rather than evil computerised malware! (The site is occasionally targeted by the bad-guys.)

Not necessary to post anything erudite, just a few simple posts that won't alarm a moderator. The exact number varies, it's not many, or intended to be difficult!

Welcome!

Dave

I suspect Julian is no longer around, as he started the thread over three years ago. However, we could hear more from Ian.
